Preparing for CM Summit

CM Summit Lists to FollowCM Summit Prep

During my participation at Chirp (Twitter’s 1st Developer Conference) I was given the opportunity by Michael Van Riper (@vanriper) to win a ticket to the CM Summit Marketing in Real Time which explained on their own website is described as:

Two jam-packed days of valuable information and discussions including one-on-one interviews, panels, and case studies.

Preparing for CMSummit

I have been involved in various social media efforts and was more than excited to have the opportunity to attend the CM Summit. I am currently reviewing their blog and really enjoy how they have used it to engage people even before attending the conference. I am counting my days and getting ready to represent CIMA IT Solutions at the conference. I can wait on learning from all the great resources that will be attending.

I am very excited and looking forward to see, hear, and possibly meet the following speakers that will be at the CM Summit (Full List of Speakers):
  • Tim Armstrong, Chairman & CEO AOL
    • While in College I worked for AOL trying to convince people to sign up for the service in Puerto Rico.
  • John Battelle , Chairman & CEO Federated Media Publishing
    • I had the Opportunity to See Him as the Moderator of the Chirp conference and I think he did a great job.
  • Chris Bruzzo, Vice President, Brand Content & Online Starbucks Coffee Company
    • I love how Starbucks markets most of their products.
  • Dick Costolo, COO Twitter
    • The most charismatic and humorous speaker at Chirp. Great presenter, was very impressive how he used humor to get his point across without losing seriousness in what he is trying to convey.
  • Dennis Crowley, Co-Founder Foursquare
    • One of my daily addictions checking-in to Foursquare.
  • John Hayes, Chief Marketing Officer American Express
    • Very interested in learning more on what the Financial Services Industry is working on to keep the conversation going.
If you plan to attend like me I would follow their twitter account @cmsummit or follow the CM Summit List of all CM Summit speakers for the June 2010 NYC event.

I am currently counting the days and hope to share most of the feedback on this blog. ( If you are interested in attending feel free to Register).

I will be following some of the tips that my friend Hector Ramos posted on his blog “9 Tips To South by Southwest For First Timers”. I want to thank @vanriper one more time (it would be great if you follow him and tweet him on how appreciative I am of the opportunity he gave me), since being a small business owner it is not easy to attend all these events without making the much needed sacrifices.

Do you have any tips (that @hramos did not include on his blog) you can share to help us make the best experience of the conference? (feel free to leave me a comment or two)
